My old hdd started to take a crap so I needed to replace it. Bought a 1 tb wd blue...... Installed the hardware and when I went to install Windows 7 to it. It never makes it all the way through and always has a different reason as to why it didn't start.... I tried the window 7 install disc that I've had for a while. I even created a bootable USB drive and its not working. Please help

Check you bios and make sure "safe boot" is disabled. I'd probably also enable CSM (Compatibility support module) if that's currently disabled.

Are you sure the old hard drive was to blame, and not the storage controllers on the motherboard. Make sure the drive is connected to the primary SATA headers and not secondary headers. The motherboard manual should tell you which headers, or just make sure the drive is connected to either SATA 0 or 1.

If any other storage drives are connected, even external drives, disconnect them until after the installation.
