Hello every one and happy new year!!

I recently build a new PC so i can give my old one to my girlfriend! As i was playing on it i smelled something burning and before i could do anything everything shouted down!! I quickly unplugged everything and open the case so i could see what is burning but i couldn't find anything burned except that i could smell something burned from the PSU!! I tried to power on the PC but it was doing nothing!! I also tried to plugged it to my girlfriends PSU but nether did anything like there was no power at all!! My conclusion to all that was that the PSU also fried my motherboard but i am not entirely sure!! I tested my 2 M.2 from my system and my GPU to my girlfriends PC and everything was good but due to incompatibility i couldn't test the CPU and RAM!! Is there any chance that my Motherboard is ok wich i doubt and the problem its ether the CPU or RAM;; Cause i want to order new parts and i was going to order a new PSU and a new motherboard only!! Is that the right call;

When posting a thread of troubleshooting nature, it's customary to include your full system's specs. Please list the specs to your build like so:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model if it was recycled from an older build or was bought used.

As for the burn, might want to pass on images of any connectors that might be burned if you see them.
