Me and my friend have been unable to connect to each other over the internet while playing certain games. He is unable to join any server I host but we are both able to join our friends servers as long as the other is not in the server. We believe the issue started when we both bought an Asus PCE-AC56 wifi adapter. Recently we have using hamachi which for some reason allows us to connect in certain games but it hasnt fully solved our issue. If anyone has an idea on what might be the cause or what to try it would be greatly appreciated.

PC Specs:
i5 4690K
Gtx 970
Asus z97-pro motherboard
Asus PCE-AC56 Network adapter

Need more details. Are you trying to connect to a server that is being hosted in your LAN? If so, are you sure that you are in the same LAN? If you are both connected to the same wi-fi it is possible that you have identical IPs, though the DHCP service doesn't work that way. Need more general info about your network set-up method.

We are both at seperate houses, when he brings his pc over my house we can play together but when we are at seperate houses we cannot connect to each other. For example if i host a teamspeak server from my own machine, all my other friends can join but he cannot.

Yea i've already done that when i put in the new network adapter and multiple times after that but no matter how many times i've forwarded the ports its still the same, its like we are being blocked from connecting to each other.
