[SOLVED] Friend needs a Chromebook under $300 please

Hello all. I need to find my a good chromebook for my friend with a budget of $300.

She just needs something for browsing the web and watching youtube.

The 11.6 inch screens are not big enough for her though as she tells me her vision is poor.

We like it but it has a TN panel. She said she doesn't know what that means and doesn't care I showed her this video...

This guy says it's the best chrome book you can get for the money right now. He put this chromebook side by side with a macbook with an IPS screen and I showed her the difference between TN and IPS. She still says she doesn't care. Clearly the color is much better on an IPS panel and I'm seeing some chromebooks with IPS panels and large screens and they are even under $200.

I'm assuming the Samsung chromebook is just better than these others I'm seeing but again no IPS panel.

My friend is ready to pull the trigger on the Samsung but I still feel like she should have one with an IPS panel.

If you know of any good models please recommend them to me!! Thank you!

There's not much difference between (current crop of) Chromebooks, apart from screen size, touch or not, 2-in-1 or not - they're still glorified Chrome Browsers (with limited Android apps support). If your friend is happy with that, let her go with it.

I bought my daughter a Samsung Chromebook Plus. Outside of the Google Pixel it is probably the best built one out there, with a larger screen, but it's high resolution which may be an issue for people with poor eyesight.
