[SOLVED] Friend tried new RAM in an old prebuit, didnt work but now his previous RAM is having issues

Its an old prebuilt. He is getting new parts for a new build, and he wanted to try his new RAM in his old prebuilt. It wasnt compatible so he put his old RAM back in.

With the old RAM back in, he can no longer play any games. Before it was fine, but now he gets 5 frames or less on any game he tries. Any ideas why this is happening?

Full specs of the system?

Check temperatures.
Possibly cpu fan connector got disconnected and cpu is overheating now.

He probably didn't get his memory reinserted back correctly! How much ram does he have and what is he showing?

Everyone seems to be ignoring the fact that he didn't talk about DDR3/4 on either kit. If your friend is trying to use a new DDR4 kit in an old prebuilt and it isn't working, chances are that the old prebuilt runs a CPU/Mobo which use DDR3.
