Question Friends GPU died

My friend has an Asus RX560 4GB. I was at his birthday and when he turned on his PC, the fans started spinning and then stopped all of a sudden. The fans would start spinning for less then a second and then stopped. Any ideas about the issue?

OS: If Windows 10, include the version

Check and see which version of BIOS your friend's motherboard is on. How old is his PSU?

Oof, thanks for telling, but he got new components a few days ago, and his GPU started working again. He got a Ryzen 3 1200 and 8GB of Kingston Ram. His old CPU was an AMD FX CPU. I'm guessing his CPU was the problem.
