His pc recently got struck my lightning and had to replace some stuff, he got a better Power supply, new motherboard, RAM sticks, and CPU. He would turn his computer on and it doesnt matter what he's doing, out of nowhere it would just freeze and get the blue screen where it says something like
'please wait while we find the problem causing', but that shows for maybe a split second and shut down. What could be the issue.

Let your friend to test other PC components one by one in other PC, the lighting will kill some of the components, like the HDD/ SDD, GPU, etc.

If all are fine, and the PC has the onboard iGPU, test the PC with minimum hardware. Like take out GPU, if the PC has the iGPU, also the boot device, RAM too. Then clear the CMOS, boot the PC. 1) The PC can boot without the RAM and boot device, but you will get no RAM and boot device message. And you will know the MB/CPU are fine. 2) The PC will not boot, either the MB or CPU has problem, because your friend bought the new MB and cpu, so either they are not compatible or either one has problem.

we found the problem for the turning off randomly, the cpu cooler wasnt in all the way so there was airflow between cpu and the heatsink, we fixed that and it no longer shuts off without warning. But the problem we get now is an error status 0xc00012f... would say (program name.exe bad image). Its only certain games it does this too. Also to add to this, ive swapped my pc parts with his and everything was fine. We used his SSD and HDD and both have problems with that error status.
