From best+ just good to Unreal with NO Plan.

Just about year ago I graced toms with 55 level controllers & then only one htat 48 lane true, no parsing. Well it took this long, yet here it is now in use. 680i would be great last year, yet todays gate looking right at specs for quad, integrated quad & mini mill of cp/gpu configs that will be....welll ummm, there isn't any.

So where do you stick twice bandwidth or more, so far I await 16X/32/X thing or even 64X thing due to expanding memory useage.
Yet 680i is stop gap that is most powerful today, it can be quaded, yet game cards are going way far beyond mainboard at this time & rectification of slot bandwidth to use up what game cards in 28/900 8950 series will offer is not on any roadmap.

You'l have good LONG ride with 680i, just because no one has clue as to next super multi processing enviorment may be CONTROLLED, out side mainframe emulation of MASSIVE UPSTEPS WITH SOME LAG IN PERFORMANCE DUE TO COMPLEXITY, THATS AFTER IT WORKS PROPERLY.experience IS LARGE PANEL FAST & SOUND THEATRE, THEN PHOTO PRINTER WILL BE ABOUT RIGHT IMPORTANCE, YET CONTROLLERS FOR SUCH COMPLEXITY, NONE KNOWN, 5000 LEVEL & 6000 ALPHAS FOR SEVER STILL ARN'T GOING TO FILL ALL CORES BANDWIDTH THAT COULD BE ASSEMBLED WITH ,SAY 4 64x SLOTS.
