Hello, little by little I am trying to improve some components of my PC.
I have NO intention of changing the MSI B450 mortar titanium motherboard with m2, ssd, 16gb 3200 (I will expand to 32gb), and a RX570 (I will sell this and upgrade it for a RX 5600 or RTX 2060, but not in short term).
Right now, I want to improve the CPU(R5 2600), but I'm not sure which one is going to be better for me, if a R7 3700x or a R7 5700G(and to be able to remove the graphic card in the absence of buying it in the future). But above all, I am worried if the B450 isnt enougth to the 5700G.
Thanks!

Integrated GPU in 5700g is no match against Rx 570, it's performance is at level of Gt 1030/Rx 550 !!!!

Nothing wrong with that MB with 3700x/5700G you just need to update BIOS.
If you are playing at 1080p resolution you'd be best off 3700x That's where CPU plays biggest role.

I just upgraded to Ryzen 7 5700G. Had to purchase a new board. I dont think it will work out on your B450. I went w/ the MSI Mag, X570 Tomahawk board.

I was actually thinking this very question this morning!

My question to you would be what are you doing that your current Ryzen 5 2600 isn't capable of doing? If you can honestly tell yourself that it's holding your productivity/gaming back, then ok. If so, I'd probably actually recommend the Ryzen 9 3900X for your motherboard.

This is the correct board, yes?

Yes, that's my board. I wasn't changing it because I need it, just because found some bargains and wanted to improve what I've got.
Finally, I bought a 7 3700x, with 16gb extra RAM and a M2. With only the CPU, I didn't noticed any better perfomance at this moment.

That's how it goes. If you were running SW/Game that used less than close to 100% of 2600 CPU, even a mainframe super computer would not make any difference.

My main goal y best performance with no noise and this ryzen 7 3700x has much more options than the 5 2600, for example I can use CTR, there is an option of eco mode, that if its ON, it has similar performance to the old one.
