Hi, I switched the VGA cable with HDMI one. The HDMI cable is HAMA 56576 HDMI CABLE 1.5 M.

Some of the specs. The monitor is 24` Acer (R241Y) 1080p 60Hz by default. Video card: ATI Radeon 4300/4500

First the picture was not filling the screen. I fixed that from Catalyst > Scaling Option> Overscan, I set it to 0%

The fonts looks thin and blurry. In windows, browsers, text editing apps and everywhere.

Basically its way worse than using a VGA cable. Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Go get a HDMI 2.1 cable, the cable listed has the specs below.
...

Thanks for your input.

Actually I just checked out the packaging, it is 2.0a standard and it says that it supports 60Hz on that res.

Do you still think that the cable could be the culprit?

What resolution are you running?
If you have a 1080p HD capable gpu, and a 1080p HD capable TV, which you do, then you should be running 1920 x 1080.
Resolution is going to determine your image/text quality the most.
Very rarely is the HDMI cable going to be cause for poor image quality unless it is a very cheap knock-off cable. If you have an HDMI 2.0 cable then i'd say your fine there.

Keep your resolution setting on 1920x1080, clear all scaling settings and use your remote for your TV to change the "Picture Settings". There should be a "PC" Input and a picture setting option for "Fit To Screen"

I'm not sure why you are talking about TV. Im trying to setup PC monitor. There is not TV in the equation :)
