From what computing ranges does this processors divide?

Ignoring the fact that most of the processor families you listed have several generations within them...

P4: 1.3GHz -> 3.8GHz

Pentium D: 2.66 -> 3.73GHz

Core 2 Duo: 1.8 -> 3.333GHz

Core 2 Quad: 2.133 -> 3GHz

You also have to look at the fact that CPU frequency doesn't mean that much anymore a 3ghz core 2 is about 50% faster then a 3ghz Pentium 4 so you cant just look at cpu frequency.

Well cannot say exactly what b'coz there comes a very big family from p4 to core i7
