I have a few questions about this case wiring. First off, it has 3 fans in the front that are all connected into a single hub and then that hub can either go into a Gigabyte mobo connector (prongs sticking out of the mobo) or ASrock/ASUS/MSI connector (again, prongs sticking out from the mobo). When I do the obvious thing of using the ASRock connection (named addressable RGB Header), the fans light up but they do not spin at all. Meanwhile there is cord I'm now not using (and which the case "manual" says I should be), which presumably connects to a button on the front panel that should do something to the fans (turn the lights on and off maybe?). The case manual says I should be connecting the hub to that cord (step 9). But then none of that is connected to the mobo, so they obviously don't light up or spin when I turn the PC on. The case manual just sucks so I'm stuck here. Also, what the hell is this thing (see picture links). I've linked the PDFs of the case and mobo below. Thanks in advance.

Uh I think you plugged in the RGB cables but aren't actually providing power to the fans. I don't blame you that manual is terrible. The who knows what look like SATA connectors so ideally you're PSU should have some SATA power cables and you would just connect those up and that should get them running I think?

Yeah I know I can do the old school powering method, but I was hoping to actually take advantage of the ability to color the lights how I want. I don't really want flashing rainbow all the time.

The fans should have 2 cables coming from each fan one for the lights and one to power the fan.
The picture is a SATA power connector in case your motherboard does not have the plug for the lights then it gets power from their and the lights are controlled by a button on the case.

Oh you need them both? I guess that makes sense, I was thinking it would shunt power from the motherboard. Guess that was a silly thought.

Anyone know what the thing in the pics is?

And I'm also now left with this (which seems to go to the LED button on the front of the case): https://ibb.co/VLJDj5q I have no idea where to plug this in. The manual says it should be plugged into the Fan Hub but that's clearly not right.

Also, unrelated, there was no connector for PLED (the power on light). Am I missing something there? It just had HDLED and PWBTN.

Like I said the other connectors are SATA power for the colors and that one would be plugged into the case to control the colors you don't need to use them
If you had no connector to the motherboard then you would use that and the other cable from the controller connected to the button on the case to control the colors.

EDIT the manual is really not that bad it just don't show you to plug the fan power into the motherboard to make the fans run.

I think I see. So basically I can just ignore the front button cable since I'm using software to control the colors anyway.

That just leaves the mystery of the missing PLED wire. No clue on that one.
