Hi, I built a gaming computer around a year ago, and it's been working fine. I became fully aware of the fact that I could use the inputs on the back of my desktop to plug in my headset to listen, but I never really realized why my front audio and mic jacks never worked. Every cable that runs from the front of my computer where my jacks are are plugged securely into the motherboard. Is the reason I can't plug in my headset into the front of the computer due to something in the BIOS?

Solution
No, as long as you have audio from the rear jacks, the front should work too. Be sure you used the HD AUDIO connector and not the AC '97 connector on the front panel cable. Some older cases still offer both. Be sure the connector is firmly inserted the correct way. Check your audio manager to be sure the front jacks are not muted. If still no joy, it could be faulty case wiring or jacks.
