front jacks not working

I've recently upgraded to an asus z787-a mobo and when I connect the hd audio connector to my mobo on two cases the front headphone and mic jack doesn't work. I've set it to hd audio in the bios and nothing. Please help!!! Thanks.

Make sure you connected the Audio cable to the right pins on the motherboard.
Also check if you have installed the audio drivers in the device management section.
