Front panel 3.5mm audo jack

Hello.
i'm experiencing an issue with front panel jack and i have no idea how to fix it. So the problem is that i never used the front one, only on the back side and now i have needs for using it. in sound manager it shows that i have front panel jack and realtek hd also shows but when i plug it i dont hear anything. no sound, only slight sound of connecting headphones with jack. my motherboard is
B75MA-E33.

It's possible it is defective, of course. Since you've never used it before, you wouldn't have known. But check to be sure you have the front panel HD AUDIO plug securely in the header. And be sure the device (headphones?) you are plugging in work and are the correct impedance.
