Hello first time builder here I'm having a hard time figuring out what front panel connectors go where. I'm using the Asus strix x99 motherboard paired up with the Corsair Graphite 760t case. Any help is much appreciated!

Yea looking at diagram in the manual looks horizontal because of the 2d print :) but once you look closer at the diagram and then correspond to the descriptions on the motherboard you'll get an idea which pins are for what and how they're connected. These pins are located bottom right corner.
The motherboard manual tells you.

The only hard part is the small connectors like the POWER SWITCH. Make sure that you:
a) choose the correct pins, and
b) make sure the POSITIVE and NEGATIVE are on the proper pins as well

USB and audio should be pretty simple.

When looking at the manual it's very vague and doesn't show me where to place the reset sw and I only have 1 of the powersw, hdd led, and reset sw

Looking at your manual online https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/ROG-STRIX-X99-GAMING/HelpDesk_Manual/

Chapter 1-28

Shows the pin layout and orientation of the plug

Your case connectors, looking at your case manual online http://www.corsair.com/en-us/graphite-series-760t-arctic-white-full-tower-windowed-case has an arrow on each plug to indicate the positive (+) side of the plug. The ground or GND will be the opposite side to the arrow marking on the connector.

So if I understand it correctly they are connected horizontally? I guess I misinterpreted the manual.
