A quick question, I know the mobo has instructions on where to plug the connectors and which side is positive and negative but how do you know which side is positive and negative on the actual connector, I have seen pictures of the cables and it doesn't look like it says?

Solution
The motherboard side should have a + or - near the pins. Like this:

If not, you'll need to look at the illustrations in the motherboard manual.

Typically the white or black wire is negative and the colored wire is positive.
IE, if there's a 2 wire connector from the front panel and one wire is white or black and the other is yellow, green, red etc. The yellow/red/green would be the positive.

Ah ok thanks, I really needed to know before I buy my parts :) I understood that the mobo should tell you the + and _ but I just didn't know about the actual wires + and - :) Thanks

No problem. The hardest part will probably be fitting all those little 2 and 3 pin connectors next to one another. It can be tedious if you have larger fingers. Sometimes a pair of tweezers helps push on the edge of the plastic on the backside of the connector to slip them over the pins on the motherboard. Good luck with your build.
