[SOLVED] Front panel jacks not working.

Recently my pc is always showing something is plugged in my headphone jack when it is not and when i actually plug something in it does not work and it just keeps connecting and disconnecting. is there a fix or should i just buy a usb adapter?

Did you check the front panel connectors to the motherboard? If all those look good then your jack may be bad, maybe something is loose or the internals are broken.

which connectors ? the usb 2 ports wor fine do you mean the hd audio port
i will check that. if that doesnt fix it will a usb adapter fix my problem?

Try a BIOS and audio driver update, but then if you have an issue with the front ports it may be causing the issue with the sound hardware till it's fixed.
