Hello,

I just put together a PC and am in the process of “training” it. Here’s the build:

Asus Maximus X Hero, Core i7-8700K, CRYORIG R1, CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 64GB, MSI GeForce GTX 1060 6GB, SeaSonic SSR-650RM 650W, Samsung SSD 960 EVO (500GB) M.2 NVME (2 ea), Seagate IronWolf Pro ST2000NE0025 2TB, LG Blu-ray Burner WH16NS40, Pioneer Blu-ray Burner BDR-209DBK, StarTech 7-port USB 3.0 card, Cooler Master HAF 912, Cooler Master Quick Fire XT Cherry Brown Keyboard, NEC PA242W Multisync.

The motherboard has a header on it north of the SATA ports (index 9, page 1-17 in the manual) described as USB 3.1 Gen 2 front panel connector (U31G2_E3). In my previous builds I had a 3.5”, 2-port USB 3 module that fit a 5.25” tray with a connector that plugged into a USB 3 header on the motherboard where now sits the USB 3.1 Gen 2 header.

Question is, what USB 3 module out there plugs into the header in my mobo? (Truth is, I never used the USB 3 front panel connectors on previous builds!)

Thanks, - Dave
