Front panel problems

I have just built a pc and am trying to connect a headset and a mic (its a headset with a mic attached) but the audio works but not the mic its the same with the back, i have installed latest realtek drivers and still no luck. can anyone help me?

You may have to fiddle with setting the "default record device" or whatever it is called, especially if your headset is a USB-style. (Right Click on the little speaker icon in your taskbar, AND/OR whatever audio software that is installed on your PC (maybe from the motherboard manufacturer)).

Ive tried many times and still not working.
