Front panel USB ports not working

Front panel USB ports not recogniising pendrive after re-install of Windows. I have ASUS p5kpl-am/ps motherboard. Back USB ports are working fine. Which drivers do I install?

Did you plug in the front panel USB connector into the right spot. If so, then you might need to install some drivers for your case or motherboard. If not then take the cord and plug it into the first USB connection on the board. It will be labeled. :)

As i stated i my original question, the pendrives are being acknowledged by my computer only my computer is saying that the device is not recognised, so the front panel USB's are connected to the motherboard. Furthermore I installed LATEST chipset drivers from ASUS, no help there.

Try Control panel > power options > change plan settings(change the active one) > change advanced power settings > USB settings > disable

and

Control panel > device manager > universal serial bus controllers > go through the usb devices, right clicking each one(probably just the "usb root hub" ones though), some will have a power management tab, uncheck "allow computer to turn off this device to save power"
