I have a HP 750n Pavilion that has two serial ports - one in the back
and one in the front. Does the front serial port come disabled in the
BIOS? If so, why and how do I enable it?

Enter the BIOS CMOS setup routine just after powering up the computer. Check
your owner's manual for the keyboard key to do this. Likely possibilities are
F1, F2, F10, and maybe even Del. Once in the BIOS CMOS setup, navigate around
the menus, looking for the serial port setup. The BIOS setup explains how to
change a setting from Disabled to Enabled... Ben Myers
