Front USB 3.0, 1 is working properly, the other is dead.

so i have a corsair spec alpha with 2 usb 3.0 ports on the front panel. one of them is working properly(top) the other is not working(bottom). the rest of the usb ports on the backside works properly
i have checked the cables going in to the usb 3.0 slot in my MOBO several times if its loose or anything. it was not. cables also look totally fine and case is brand new but still, one of my usb ports are not working,
please help!

my motherboard is an msi Z9 pc mate
Power supply: evga 500w
OS: Windows 10 64bit

Update: i checked my bios. everthing in my USB configuration is enabled. board explorer recognizes that i have 2 USB 3.0 on the front panel. i plugged in a usb stick on the top one and the pc recognizes it. i plugged my usb stick to the other one on the bottom and it just says that its still "empty"

Update2: ports tested with my kinovo usb bluetooth dongle with a light indicator. top is still functioning perfeclty. bottom usb port doesnt have power.

I FIXED IT! I GOT SO DAMN LUCKY

as it turns out. i had a bent pin on my usb 3.0 mobo slot. it was so bent it left an indentation on the side of the usb plug that the case uses. i tried to pry it off the sides of the usb slot. used 2 flat head screw drivers to act like tweezers and a safety pin to pry it off the sides. i pulled a little too hard and ended up snapping the pin short. I almost lost hope. but i tried what i hope would work. i straightened the short pin that remained on the slot and hoped for the best. plugged the usb 3.0 into the slot. powered my pc up and checked if it works. as it turns out, i had enough length of pin for my motherboard recognize the connection. both front usb 3.0 ports now work properly even with one pin cut short.

tl;dr i snapped a bent usb 3.0 pin, i had enough pin length left to make the connections meet. problem fixed.
