If it is in the wrong place, please move it to the correct spot.

So, today I decided to reset my PC back to factory settings and everything seems fine now. I just have one problem, I noticed my Razer Kraken 7.1 wasn't powered so I plug it into the 2.0 USB next to my 3.0 USB and it worked. I've plugged something else into the 3.0 and it doesn't want to seem to work as well.

This is what my device manager says http://imgur.com/niy4l1u

I've got my motherboard driver disc, would that work? My motherboard is a 970A-DS3P, a AMD chipset. Gigabyte, the disc runs a application and such on.

You probably could use that disc, yes. It is typically preferred to go to the motherboard's website in case the drivers have been updated since the disk came out, but just to get things up and running you could probably use the disk.

Here is a link to the 970A-DS3P support page on Gigabyte's site, if you have time it would be best to look for your drivers there.

Thanks. It seems like that has fixed the error on the Device Manager. It was weird since it was only the front 3.0 USB which was affected by it. But still, my headset still isn't getting powered by it. The weird thing is when I put it in the 3.0 USB and I start up my PC, it gives it power but when it goes into Windows, it powers off.

This is a new thing in the Device Manager for 'Other Devices'

Hm, next two steps I'd try:

1) In the device manager section, right click the "Universal Serial Bus controllers" section and choose 'scan for hardware changes,' that might pull up any new errors.

2) Run Windows Update (just in case there are associated Windows drivers missing)

Edit: Thanks R4INM4N, though I don't think it is quite working for Adam yet...closing in hopefully. :)
