Front USB Ports Randomly Failing

I have a DIYPC Solo T1-R case and a Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 R2 Mobo.

Sometimes, at random, my front (and ONLY my front, the MB USB's dont do this) USB ports will disconnect. I have enough USB's in the back for my needs, but the front has a USB 3.0, which I would like to be able to use. I have tried going into power options and disabling all the weird power save things for USB's to no avail. All USB drivers are up to date as well.

I don't quite understand your explanation.
Also, the motherboard USB's work fine. The Case USB's are the failing ones.

the case has a 3.0 header and a 2.0 header, they're separate and in their correct spots.

I don't know how to test them. I tried updating drivers too to no avail...

In the end it turns out two things were the problem

1. The DEVICE's drivers were out of date, not the USB ports.
2. I was using some older tech, so it wasn't playing nice with the 3.0's.
