I bought an ASUS AC1900 and an Actiontec MoCA to replace the ARRIS-NVG468MQ/Moca.
I need guidance on how to do this. Earlier today, frontier tech support activated the ethernet on the ONT. I tried replacing the router first but I couldn't get internet connection.
I read somewhere about releasing the broadband connection before replacing the router, among other things.
Thanks.

Solution
If you have their tv service I think you must keep their router just to provide the tv schedule function. You end up with basically 2 internet connections in your house one that is your actual internet delivered over the ONT ethenet port and the second running over the moca for the tv boxes. Not sure last time I fios it was still verizon and things were not as fancy as they are now.
