Frozen Desktop Screen

Hi guys, so just today I started getting this problem where when I start up windows 10 it gives me a blank screen. I know how to fix that part but when I get to the desktop I can open anything, it just shows my background and the apps that are open. I can't see anything when I click on them. All I can do is open the start menu. Pls help i don't have a clue what to do
