Frozen windows xp

Vaio xp. Won't boot windows gets stuck at 3 yellow bars, I tried to system restore in safe mode but system restore is off and can't be turned on in safe mode ,

in safe mode go to msconfig and turn every thing off in start up. also uninstall anti virus if it damaged windows may not boot. if it still locks up uninstall the video driver. if the gpu is failing it lock windows up when the driver installs. with the driver removed it should boot into stock vga desktop.
