Frustrated with this reinstall. opinions?advice?

Hey guys, I'm having an issue with this reinstall. I just wanted a fresh install tired of clutter etc. It's a recent buil only 2-3 months old gigabyte 890fxaud5 phenom 965 corsair xms3 2x2gb. It all worked great. How ever, today after formatting with the windows install disc it refuses to go past 0% while expanding files. I've tried removing one stick of ram I've tried disabling k8 etc. This is drivin me absolutely crazy. Thanks in advance

How long have you waited for it to expand? Check the disk for flaws? Try a different hard-drive maybe.

I waited for about an hour an a half an it gave me the corrupt or missing files. On 2 hardrives. I'm noticing a few tiny surface Scratches from the case.
