Hello guys,

I'm building my own computer. I live in Brazil and I need your help.

I'm gonna buy my components at USA, but I don't know where I can buy these items.

I have been searching on the internet some stores with good prices and I found out that Fry's has everything I want. However, I was reading some articles about it's costumer service and many people dislike it.

I know that newegg has good prices, but it's online shopping only, and I want to pick up the components at the store, to check them up, before taking them home.

Please help me.

Interesting situation - how is it possible to check parts without finishing up the new build?

Both, Newegg as well as Fry's are reputable companies; and you are right, Newegg is an online merchant. I used Newegg for most of my new build parts about 4 months ago, and never ran into a problem.

I certainly would recommend both Newegg as well as Fry's. Go with whichever company that you are comfortable with.

If buying at Fry's just be sure to chaeck that all the parts work before going back to Brazil (and do not purchase any items with tags on the boxes) - Fry's has a habit of getting customer returns - slapping a returned item tag on the box and reshrink wrapping it without testing to see if the part is defective ( they have a pretty liberal return policy and take the customers word for why it was returned so if the person burned it up and said they were returning it because they didn't need it for example it just winds up reshrink wrapped and resold to the next customer !!) -- So be sure to check that everything works properly after buying it.
