Authorize retailers have these for 419, Also I picked 2 of these up on cyber monday for $339 each after mir lol.

I've been ripped off by newegg... Guess it's my loss. Price drop! $400 including shipping and paypal fees to lower 48 states.

Where the heck did you get it at that price? It sounds too good to be true. Was it really the Samsung 840 Pro 512gb?

Bought 2 of them from amazon on black friday lol.

I'm sorry, I don't know what you're attempting, but I don't think you're telling the truth.

Firstly, you said you got it on Cyber Monday, then you say you got it on Black Friday. Secondly, I have a price history plugin that checks prices on Amazon. On those two days, it was $439.99, so basically you're telling me the Mail-in-rebate is $100 off, which is unheard of. Thirdly, the folks at slickdeals catch on to deals very quickly and I would've seen a thread about it as I have price alerts set up with them, even searching for that price on their forums doesn't exist. Fourthly, you most likely bought it used or you bought a new Samsung 840 (non-pro, non-evo) 500GB, which is priced closer to $339.

If you're trying to drive down my asking price by that much without any proof, then please leave. I'm already taking a loss on my purchase. I'm open to price negotiation, but I can't stretch it that far.

Are you prime? I don't see why I would have a reason to lie here.

Let me guess. Student Prime?

When you said that (the "lol" at the end of your sentence was agitating to say the least), it's like you're suggesting others that I'm ripping people off, and they can get a better deal elsewhere. Student Prime is not free, there's an annual fee. Not everyone is a college student. If a student were to purchase it with the intent to resell it, then they are breaking the ToS. Moreover, universities offer steep discounts on many software, that does not mean I should sell the product at equal or less than what the university is selling them for.

You could easily go to any FS thread and tell others how much you bought your item(s) for and end your sentence with a "lol" without mentioning Student Prime. If you used Student Prime, good for you, but please stop trying to deflate prices.

First off I am not trying to deflate prices. I just got the drives and they are 840 500gb so I see why they were cheaper I am sorry and good luck selling your drives.

I think the real question is why a person who has never posted on Tom's before comes in here and registers not using their real name selling an item that is "new in box" for ~$150 less than most online retailers have it new.

I think another good question is why that person thinks it's okay to argue with members of an otherwise "peaceful" community without justifying how the product came to be in their possession.

What about this individual's affiliation with Newegg: https://twitter.com/brncao ?

How about the fact that he's had the drive for 30 days and can't return it... but replaced it with a 1TB?:

You still think it's new in box? Why would he purchase both at the same time, yet "replace" the 1TB with the 512?

How do you feel about the fact that he offered the same drive on another forum, starting at his "new, better" price: http://forum.notebookreview.com/computer-components/740571-fs-samsung-840-pro-512gb.html

Last, I'd suggest that you read the forum rules about posting items for sale:

Trying to sell a used drive as new is not only shady, it's against forum rules.

Sorry, Tom's but I don't trust this guy and I don't think you should, either.

Whoa whoa whoa calm down! Cia24 apologized and I accept his apology. It was a misunderstanding. Move on! Let's not turn this thread into a flame fest, please!

@Christopher Shaffer: A lot of what you've said in your post is ad hominem. Therefore I won't say anything. I have nothing to hide, and I enjoy partaking in technology forums and helping fellow members out. A shady seller is one who spends all his time in the FS forum selling and buying stuff to rack up his feedback score without contributing anything meaningful to the community. THOSE are the people you typically want to avoid.

Whether or not I'm right, your example of sellers to avoid is actually an exact match to yourself.

I've contributed quite a bit, so I hope you're not implying otherwise.

You, on the other hand have almost no posts, many of which are from this thread.

Tom's gives "expertise badges" for contributions that others find useful. You have 45 posts, no badges. Just sayin'. They also give awards for "challenges". You have 3. You're welcome to view my profile and see how many I have. There are also acknowledgements for providing solutions to questions. You're 0/45, I'm 15/364. Considering my short term here, and that very post counts as a possible "solution", not bad.
