Hi Guys

My PC works fine, but a friend has just asked me why upon installing the 9.1
patch he is getting CTD's and I have no idea. Please could you share your
experiences if you have had the patch cause CTD's ?

Steve,

Did he read the patch readme from MS??? Many items in there discuss
possible problems that can occur if the instructions concerning patch
installation are not followed. If he has not read that, in detail, before
installing the patch, his first step should be to go through that process
and eliminate any possibilities there.

If he finds something, he just might have to uninstall the patch, assuming
it is possible now, following MS' instructions for doing so, then start
over.

FWIW, my patch install worked perfectly, and I was using the no-cd fix.
Again, MS readme had instructions about that also.

Do you have add-ons installed, that may have probs with the patch?

Has your friend read the readme files? FSUPC, Active Camera etc. Did he update over a noCD file?

Thanks for the ideas guys, I notice that his video drivers are 12 months old
so I am going to try that. He does have the latest FSUIPC and has many
add-ons installed - I think he maybe needs to try taking these off and then
trying 9.1 and then building the add-ons back up if successful

Make sure he doesn't install the update over the old or new no-cd patch.
