On my FX-8320 (stable at 4.3ghz using multiplier only), as soon as I increase the FSB speed by 1mhz, The CPU Temps spike to 78c (thermal limit on the chip, usually rarley go above 50C @4.3ghz), even though the voltages are the same and the CPU is only running at 3.52ghz. When I tried to increase the FSB speed to 202mhz (2mhz OC on FSB), the BIOS claimed it was corrupted and was reloaded from the second bios (thank god the 78lmt-usb3 has dual bios!). Does anyone know why?

I know, that shouldn't be an issue as i have a good mobo, good RAM (1x 8GB Crucial Ballistx Sport @1600mhz, 2x 4GB GSkill Ripjaws @2133mhz (Running @1600mhz due to the speed of the crucial stick), good PSU (EVGA 650 GQ) etc.

I understand where you are coming from but even a slight adjustment of the FSB can crash a system.
The only other things I can say is you've either hit a dead spot or you need a minor bump of voltage to the chipset.
Have you tried it without your GPU? The FSB bump maybe messing with your GPU timing.

I have an R9 270, GPU instability is not an issue (have a good OC on it as I typ) and the voltage is at the same level as my 4.3ghz multiplier OC. (Which delivers very good temps, around 50C max)
