Hello, looking to purchase the above PSU as my current Antec VP500 12v rails seem to be dropping to 11.707 and as low as 11.600 under load. is FSP a reasonably good power supply manufacturer? i realize that it is still within spec and the system has not being doing anything odd, its just worrying that a fairly new unit (about 5 months old) has these drops. my previous PSU, a CX430 only dropped to 11.9 at most, albeit in a less power hungry system, i was thinking about a corsair unit but seen some good reviews on FSP, anyone with past experiences with the brand please let me know your experiences as i trust the advice of this community over others, current specs in sig.

Is it like blow up and take the rest of your system kind of junk? my Antec is considered low quality as well

It's probably in the same neighborhood of quality as your current one. If you have a PSU quality issue, a sidegrade won't solve it. The budget Corsair CX line has improved immensely from the old days (green letters in the logo) and is usually the cheapest bargain PSU that makes sense to purchase. The non-modular is actually slightly better than the modular because of a more modern topology.

PSU Tolerance Table
+3.3VDC± 5%+3.135 VDC+3.465 VDC
+5VDC± 5%+4.750 VDC+5.250 VDC
+5VSB± 5%+4.750 VDC+5.250 VDC
-5VDC (if used)± 10%-4.500 VDC-5.500 VDC
+12VDC± 5%+11.400 VDC+12.600 VDC
-12VDC± 10%-10.800 VDC- 13.200 VDC

You're still fine. That FSP PSU is a low quality PSU. Not all FSP series is junk but this one is.

Yeah your antec is a TIER 6 in this list.

And Tier D in this one "Potentially dangerous, but only in specific situations"

You never know with low quality PSU. Could go out and not do any collateral dmg or just bring your entire system with it. Use those list if you want to know which PSU you should be buying in the future.
