Hello im curriently looking at a new psu since my pc is rebooting randomly and not under load tho.

Event log says :

Event ID : 41
BugcheckCode : 0
Level : Critical
Task Category : 63)

And ive been told on the microsoft forum that its is most likely a psu error that is failing..

My current psu is a :

Super Flower Leadex Platinum SF-2000F14HP

And ive been looking at a FSP psu are they any good ? i know there can be bad and good ones at any manufacturer.

My old one is gonna be 10 years next year in Maj so yes its pretty old :)

My system under load both cpu and gpu with cinebench and furmark running a the same time draws 950-1000w.

But my question is still FSP are they any good in general :)

Not sure I would just jump to the PSU it could be about any part of your PC even a corrupt OS.
41 is just a unexpected shutdown.
Listing all the parts your using would help.
For your question no answer without knowing the exact PSU your buying.

Asrock Trx40 creator "Latest Bios"

Sapphire Radeon Rx 7900 Xtx Nitro+ Oc 24gb

ASUS HYPER M.2 X16 GEN 5

Superflower 2000w Psu "SF-2000F14HP"

1x Samsung 990 pro 2Tb

2x Samsung 980 pro 2Tb

1x Samsung 850 evo ssd 2Tb

6x Seagate 4Tb

1x Toshiba 18 Tb

Corsair K100 Rgb Keybord

Logitech G903 Lightspeed

Monitor Dell U2713H

Altho I have a 7900 xtx that I rmaed because of the rebots since they startede a month i got it and adrenalin 24.6.1 came out.

I also have a new monitor that is bring repaired by a samsung repair partner its a samsung 32 inc neo qled mini led 240 hz in 4k.

On here is the deal.

13th of Maj i purchased a sapphire radeon rx 7900 xtx nitro+ oc vapor x 24gb to replace my old zotac 980 ti and i started to get bsods a at the 22th of Maj to the 18th of June 4 in total and some adviser on the microsoft read my minidump files and said it was related to my ram or my amd drivers Amdryzenmasterdriver.sys & Cpumetricsserver.exe.

And everytime i got the amd report tool comming up and i filled it as to be the 2 driver i mentioned above as the ones who caused it, then at the 19th i decided to remove all amd drivers chipset/gpu drivers with ddu and amd cleanup utility and installe chipset fresh and gpu minimal as i read those dos not install Amdryzenmasterdriver.sys & Cpumetricsserver.exe and it ran fine, then the 27th of june came the adreanalin 24.6.1 out and amd wrote they removed Cpumetricsserver.exe wich they was investigatin to the cause of the bsods and other stuffs and my system ran fine again until the 5th of juli where it started restarted periodically 5 times with the new graphic card so i thought it was defective and rma'ed it still waiting to them to test it or what ever they decide as to i gave them the error note "Periodically bsod and reboots" so im waiting for them to decide what to do.

but then with my old 980 ti i got 2x crit errors when the pc was on but not used for like 1-2 hours and it was like it had gone to hybernate sleep all tho i have turned of slumber and set monitor to turn off after 10 min.
i was defraging my normal hdd not ssd or nvme and i was running seatools to test my hdd and ssd and nvme.

But im beginning to think its a corrupt windows altho i had it reinstalle a month ago but i might have done something to corrupt it not sure but unstalled and reinstalled chipset / gpu and other stuff alot to find the cause of the bsod and random reboots.

geuss a new install is the only way to find out about that.

Hello again i got to busy and didnt get to reinstall windows.

How ever i got psu tester thermaltake dr power 3 to test my psu and with only 24 plugged in it told me it failed it keept telling it failed on the PG and im unsure what that is.

If I plug allof them in 24pin / 8pin cpu / pci-e / molex / sata it also fails on PG but 8pin cpu / pci-e / molex / sata it passes on.

So I think the psu is the reason im getting those reboots dont you think?

PG is Power Good which is an indicator that power is stable and ready to use.
If that fails its could be an indicator that there is something wrong with the power unit.

Yes I know but i just wanted to know if I can find out what is wrong in the 24 pin?

And if that could be the cause of those random bsods and reboots?

One thing that is strange is that the value should be between 100 ms to 500 ms and mine failed so either its under 100 or 500 ms but from what I heard if it under 100 or 0 that the pc wont start but mine starts everytime its just the random reboots 😀

yearh you proberly right, but since the new psu found it's way into my pc, the bsods and sudden reboots havent appeared.

i managed to get my hands on 2 testers thermaltake Dr power III and a Delock Power Supply Tester III.
https://es.thermaltake.com/dr-power-iii.html

https://www.delock.com/produkt/18159/dokumente.html

The thermaltake Dr power III says fail on PG and shows no value, Delock Power Supply Tester III shows 320 on the PG wich is with specs but fails on the +12V2 showing LL
