Dear folks,
My first post here. My i3-530 was ok when OC to run basic FSX, but it is showing off it's weakness when ran with add ons. So I decided to build a new PC with emphasis on FSX, and possibly more games in the near future. Following are the parts I've put together for a good FSX rig, per my limited research:
CPU: Intel i7-4820K
MOBO: Asus P9X79 Deluxe
RAM: GSkill Ripjaws Z 2400 MHz 32 g
Video: Evga GTX 760 2 GB
PSU: Seasonic 660W - I'm thinking about going with 750-850 W if I'm going to add another GPU
SSD: Kingston Hyper X (x2) one for OS and one for FSX
Cooler: Corsair Hydro Series H105
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit
Please let me know where I stand in terms of power. I'm planning on overclocking there I chose the Asus board. What I've seen is that Asus board can auto OC. I'm not too crazy at the moment to tinker with voltages.
So do I get the blessing for my rig?
Thanks a bunch,
Omar
