PCI-SIG has published its first draft for PCIe Gen 7 for its members to review. The new PCI revision is still set for release in 2025 offering double the bandwidth of Gen 6.

Wouldn't be hard to see them skipping Gen 6 to go straight to 7 since Gen5 is having some issues for desktop users. Device compatibility will be the next big deal.
