I've been saving up for a gaming setup for a few months now and was wondering if you guys could help me configure the best build for by budget. I want to be able to have a gaming PC that is capable of running games at 1080p at around 60 FPS on Medium - High settings on all the latest games. I also want a good 1080p 60hz monitor as well as a keyboard and mouse.

As of now, here's the setup I'm thinking of:

You can use this setup to make recommendations to it or you can start and completely different type of setup if you want.

Q&A:
-Q: What kind of games do you plan on playing?
A: Battlefield 4, Fallout 4, Star Wars Battlefront, Rainbow Six Siege, Metal Gear Solid V, The Division, Mirrors Edge Catalyst, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Grand Theft Auto V, Just Cause 3, Borderlands, Quantum Break, Home front the Revolution, and indie games all at 1080p with around 60 FPS on Medium - High settings.

-Q: What else do you want to do besides gaming?
A: I would also like to be able to surf the web easily to do homework and stuff like that.

-Q: How future proof do you want the build to be?
A: About two years would be noice. I want a gaming setup to get me started to experience what PC gaming has to offer.

Questions:
-Q: What's a cheap and easy way to obtain reliable and legal windows? Also, how do I install it?

-Q: How can I connect my PC to the internet the easiest, fastest, and most reliable way (Like if I go wired or wireless)?

Thanks for reading my thread and I look forward to seeing your answers and recommendations. Thank you again! 😀

Changed your build a little bit to give a more powerful processor and better upgrade path. Power supply is a higher quality one.

You will also need a couple of USB 3.0 to 2.0 header adapters, their only a few bucks.

A few questions about the parts.

Q: How good is the motherboard? I know the motherboard doesn't really affect the performance of a PC, but are there any risks associated with using this motherboard such as it getting very hot or quitting after a few months?

Q: Like I said in my initial question, what's the cheapest, most reliable, and easiest way to obtain Windows (7,8, or 10) for a cheap price?

Q: Also, Like I said in my original question, how can I connect to the internet? I have the router in my room and I would like it to be wired (Since going wired gives a small performance boost and is cheaper).

Beside that the parts you picked seems very good. The case seems to be reliable, very good with cable management, and cheap. The power supply looks like it's pretty reliable. And upon a little more research, the R9 380 4GB is a little better than the r9 280X 3GB.
Also the edition of the i5-4460 should give my a major boost in FPS in the games I play compared to my previous build.

Anyways thanks for helping me out (Your the FIRST PERSON to reply to me in 4 days after I posted this thread!) and thank you. I look forward to your answer and others! Thanks. 😀

H81 boards don't have the VRM cooling like more expensive boards, so they do run a little hotter. But there are literally thousands of these out there being used with no problem. Wired is preferable over wireless, but if you did want to use wireless, a simple USB wireless adapter works well and can be had for cheap. The best to get Windows would be to find the cheapest version of 7 SP1 or 8.1 which are both upgradeable to Windows 10.

Since it seems like this build is fine with that motherboard, the only other question I have is how I can connect to the internet wired like I said ,''how can I connect to the internet? I have the router in my room and I would like it to be wired (Above).'' :3

Anyways thanks for the recommendations and thanks for the feedback. 😀

''If the router is in your room, just connect to it with an Ethernet cable (Above).''

I know that I need a Ethernet cable, but is there a certain type that I should buy? I currently don't have any at home and when I look online for it, I see multiple different kinds with different prices. So far I have my eyes on this Mediabridge Cat5e Ethernet Patch Cable (50 Feet) - RJ45 Computer Networking Cord - Blue.

Oh, and also do I have to buy thermal compound? I've seen people on PCparkpicker buy thermal compound and some not, but in my current build would you recommend it?

Thanks. 😀
