full install of windows 8

I upgraded to 8.1 and dont like it at all. Can I do a full install of windows 8 since I'm using windows 8.1?

If you have your original Windows 8 install media, yes. You'll lose whatever is on the drive and end up with a clean Windows installation, but you can do it.

What don't you like about 8.1 as opposed to 8?

I don't have the original windows 8 and I didn't backup my files. I don't like it for the fact I can't reset back to factory and the mouse is slow. So if I have a problem and can't correct it by cleaning up files and running spyware and malware can I just buy the windows 8 and install it? Thank you for your time!

Yes, you can do that if you really want.
But I don't think the mouse issue is because of 8.1.

From everything I have read about windows 8.1 says the mouse will e slow to respond in games. What do you think it is?

I'm not a heavy gamer, but I've noticed no mouse issues with 8.1. None.

certain game mouse drivers work faster by increasing the polling rate. Microsoft windows 8.1 blocked this method because of various system wide problems it caused. Now you have to make a registry tweak for each game you want to enable the faster mouse polling for.

add c:\windows\explorer.exe to your registry on step # 4 of the instructions and the whole system should get the faster mouse rate.
