Full screen gaming issue !

I've got a little problem. A week ago I bought myself a brand new computer. I installed all the drivers and installed Windows 7. When I play games like Witcher 3, League of legends, heartstone or any other games in full screen the games don't run smooth. Fraps shows I have 60 fps but the game feels like its playing on like 30-40 fps it just doesn't feel smooth. If I set the game on windowed it feels smooth again and it does feel like I play the game with 60 fps. It's really annoying problem and I would appreciate it if you guys could help me out.

Asus GTX 970 4GB
Intel core i5 4690k 3.5 ghz quad core
1 stick of 8GB RAM
MSI z97 gaming 5
600W corsair power supply

set everything to full screen windowed mode

Go into the Nvidia control panel, and on 'Global Settings' ensure you have:

- Max pre rendered frames = 1
- Vertical Sync = On

See if that helps!

Gallarian I had Vertical Sync on adaptive and I turned it ON but its still the same.

Did you set pre rendered frames too?

You can also try enabling 'triple buffering'.


PS: Windowed Borderless looks exactly the same as Fullscreen, i.e. the game will fill the entire screen with no borders like it does at fullscreen, but your OS and game will think its in windowed mode

Yeah set it to triple buffering still the same :/ How do i set that windows borderless thingy

Its something that you usally control in-game. For example, in Witcher 3 you'll find it as an option in the graphics settings menu
