Hi everyone, I'm switching from Intel to AMD and scored a 5600x. As most of you probably know by now, 500 series chipset mobos will require the latest BIOS update in order to run the new cpu. How do I go about updating the BIOS on the x570 mobo I'm getting when I don't have another AMD cpu to run in its place to update?

Looks like that motherboard can indeed be updated without a CPU installed. You'll use the M-Flash tool to do so.

Double check the available BIOS updates to verify that a version for the 5000-series CPUs is available. Good luck.

So I gave m-flash a go tonight and ran into some issues, hopefully you can help me out here. Ran the bios update but the indicator led only blinked 3 times, I guess meaning my USB wasn't compatible. I tried reformatting my USB through bootice back to factory and still doesn't work. Any help here is greatly appreciated.
