Fullscreen applications keep minimizing

All fullscreen games keep minimizing for no reason. Even the ones that aren't fullscreen stop working. For example when I'm typing something on something that isn't fullscreen it just stops the whole application and I have to click on it again to start typing again. This is happening every 30 seconds. No idea what is going on. Sometimes I'll see a white box over my mouse saying to visit this website or buy something like an advertisement.

It can be a virus/malware infection but here are some troubleshooting steps that may help.
- Start by running a complete virus/malware cleanup.

- Once done reboot your PC to complete the scans and deletion of infections that may be detected.
- After the reboot test it again and see if the same problem will persist or not.
- If all these will not work do also run Windows Update and install all the updates available.
