so i got a new computer recently an hp elite 8300 sff for a good price. but i notice that when i play games it randomly freezes like tf2, dirt 2 and oblivion it doesnt freeze to the point of pushing the power button just ctrl alt delete it and close it down. but what causes it to do this it came with a i7 3770, 12 gb of ram thats mismatched (yes i know blame the previous owner) and nvidia gt 730 with a 240watt max psu. is that the reason it freezes like it does like on furmark? it runs fine until i hit the cpu burner and instant lag and stuttering and hanging up then when it sorts itself out and goes back to normal again with both test running i stop the cpu test and run it again and it runs no problem no freezing or anything. but when i close furmark all together and reopen it and repeat the process it lags like last time and over and over again with that process so im at a loss im blaming the psu for not giving enough power or maybe the motherboard everything in this pc is stock except the added gt 730 i tried both the test with an overclocked and stock clock and still does it with both. any suggestions? i ran an 8 minute stress test with both of them and max temp on my cpu was 85 which i doubt thats the culprit but is still pretty hot but im not complaining atm because its freezing outside and the gpu runs at around 68 to 72 degrees overclocked. plus since this is an hp computer the psu connectors are different from other psu connectors or else i would swap a different psu in already to test my theory because i have a spare 350 watt psu to (he said it was 450 watts liar lol) but this is just driving me nuts lol.

no full benchmarks no other things open only furmark and hwmonitor the reason it was a short test is because i had to look at something and stop the test it seems like a heavy power draw does it but in my games its random so idk whats up with it if its not being supplied enough power or what ill post a video if you want to see it for yourself except for the games it seems completely random because i was playing dirt 2 and the first intro passed and was running great so i ran the first 2 laps but realized i was losing so i restarted and raced again and the first 3 seconds of the race i bumped into a guy and boom it crashed idk if it was my gpu that does it or the game itself but ill try tf2 it seems consistent in freezing and maybe give it some time to see what happens after because the sound loops when it does it and gets annoying with headphones.
