I am trying to install 2x4gb fury hyperx 1866 in my pc. it currently has 2x8gb fury hyperx 1866 running in it already. But when I put it in I just get a blank screen nothing happens. When I take it out all is fine again? What am I doing wrong people?
My pc specs are:
Amd fx-6300 cpu
Aslockton 970 pro3 r2.0 mobo
Sapphire HD 5770 gpu

1.) Make sure XMP is disabled. Reinstall the RAM and see if it boots.
2.) Try the sticks in different combinations, testing all the slots and sticks. You might have a dead stick of ram and/or a dead slot.
3.) Grab some compressed air and blast the RAM slots and sticks. A tiny speck of dust in there is enough to prevent the whole thing from working.
4.) Make sure you aren't running your RAM in "Link" mode. Either leave it in auto or put it as unlink.
5.) Run everything at 1600mhz or 1333mhz to see if stability and/or voltage isn't the problem.

Try these for now, see if the problem doesn't go away. Do remember that running mismatched sticks (where not every stick is identical) will run your RAM in some weird mode that isn't ideal and can be really wonky and spotty.

That is a AMD chipset there is no XMP.
There is a DOCP may need to disable that

There isn't true XMP for AMD chipsets, but there hasn't been a single AM3+ or FM2/FM2+ motherboard I've worked with that doesn't have an XMP option in BIOS, and that's including 970, 990FX, A55, A58, and A88X chipsets across multiple manufacturers from the past 4-5 years. For me, it's been this pseudo XMP that has caused all of my RAM issues on AMD platforms, whether with matched sets or mismatched frankenstein sets.

Sure it may not be the culprit here, but it's always worth watching out for.

Mixing multiple kits or combining modules sold as singles can cause a PC to be unable to boot or operate at rated specifications. Such combinations are not guaranteed to work as they have never been tested together.

AMD FX CPUs support 1866MHz memory with one DIMM per channel.
AMD FX CPUs support 1600MHz memory with two DIMMs per channel.
Higher frequencies require an overclocked system.

Can't find xmp or docp the motherboard uses uefi and I am not sure the settings I should be changing. all ram slots work and all the ram sticks work aswell (just not together). this is my first build and I ain't super and messing with the software side of things so if you guys can be patient and try dumb it down abit for me. I tried running at lower power aswell no luck my power supplie is a corsair hx750 if that helps.
