future CPU upgrades on an Asus P5W-DH Deluxe?

I'm building a system with a C2D E6600, and I'd like to keep it upgradable. In particular, as quad-cores become more mainstream and software really begins to take full advantage of them (maybe in 1-2 years time), is it likely that I will be able to get one without having to replace my motherboard? I know right now an Asus P5W-DH Deluxe supports Kentsfield processors, but how long will it remain that way? Is there something on the near horizon that could prevent me from upgrading? Like a new socket... I don't know.

I am also thinking about upgrading my CPU.
I hope the Asus P5B (with the p965) can work with the Yorkfield.
The FSB is fast enough and the socket-type LGA775 is correct.
I don't know if the VRM is compatible. Killer if it is !

Hm... I'm not too sure about the FSB, I think I read somewhere (probably in THG's C2D overclocking guide) that it maxed at 450Mhz, but could be pushed to 500Mhz from Windows. I wonder if that could become a limiting factor...

To answer your question. There will be a new Socket B when the Nehalem come out. But that won't be for 18+ months.
I am guessing Intel will make a Yorkfield version using a 1066 FSB and the same VRM as current (pre p35) motherboards.

Every motherboard that works with a Conroe/Kentfield that will that I know of can be overclocked to a 333 Mhz FSB. 333x4 = 1333 which is what the Penryn/Yorkfield uses. There are other problems to make all this work.
