Future GPU bottlenecking current CPU?

I have an
Intel 3570k Ivy Bridge processor,
on a 1 x GIGABYTE GA-Z77X-UD5H LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard,
using a CORSAIR CX series CX750M

I also have:

2 x Mushkin Enhanced Chronos 2.5" 120GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) MKNSSDCR120GB

ASUS Xonar DSX 7.1 Channels PCI Express x1 Interface Audio Card

G.SKILL Sniper Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2133 (PC3 17000) Desktop Memory Model F3-17000CL11D-8GBSR


I want to upgrade to the GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 980Ti 6GB G1 Gaming OC Edition

Would the new video card be bottlenecking my old CPU. Also, would I need to up the PSU, and if so what to? (850, 1000?) Would I need 1000 on a new z170 system if I'm doing 2x 980ti's with a similar setup, except with ddr4 ram at 3200? (ripjaw V anyone? nice stuff there)

Your i5 will not bottleneck a GTX980ti or even two of them.

You will need ti upgrade your psu not because it's not enough watts, but because it's just simply not very reliable.

You do not need a Z170 system or 3200mhz ddr4 RAM.

Just curious, but how would I be able to tell this without going into a game and crunching the numbers around the gpu/cpu loads? As I don't have a lot of money to throw around, and thus can't just buy one and find out it's bottlenecked somewhere. Heh. I mean like is there a way to know this just off of specs one can look up? Thank you for your input thus far though . This way in the future I don't have to rely on others so heavily, no offence .

pitting DDR3 versus DDR4, with very specific settings against each other with very similar setups (different motherboards).

Anyway, the jist of that video is pitting the I5-2500K and DDR3 RAM against the I5-6500 with DDR4 RAM. With the 2500K overclocked to 4.6Ghz and the DDR3 RAM at 2400Mhz, it was within a frog's hair of the stock clocked I5-6500/DDR4 combo.

Whether one setup or other performs better or not is really determined by the software being run on them. Some games/programs prefer the higher clock rate of the CPU, some the memory bandwidth, etc. It's a give and take scenario with no clear winner.

I'm providing the link to the video because its interesting, and not in any way vouching for its validity, as I only trust Tom's for serious testing. It's entertaining, has some good points, and backs up the general consensus that there's hardly any difference right now.

So there's no real difference between the 3rd generation i5 3570k and an i7 6700k then, in terms of not just modern games, but with one just on the horizon here with the likes of Doom 4, Planet Coaster and what not? Especially in terms of getting a New video card, and really... now that I'm looking at all this, I'm wondering how much more FPS I would eek out if I got the 980ti g1 from gigabyte, and if that plus all my other stuff would be approaching that magic "20%" zone of the psu where you start to want to up the anty to the next section of psu's...?
