What does the future hold for monitors?
I mean what would it have compared to the ones we have now (normal ones). I'd like some realistic opinions about this as I'm a little interested about it 🙂
What would the most noticable improvement be in monitor technology, basically? And maybe give a timeline of it if ya can? Just curious 😛

(note: i just don't mean crt monitors btw)

plasma monitors...

one pound or less, good view on any angle...
within 5 years i hope.

A 5 foot work fan, plastic sheeting for the funnel, some tubing, and duct tape is all you need for a cooling system.

No, probably not plasma, but LCD. Currently there are several issue plaguing lcd's- viewing angle, contrast, response time, price. Viewing angle will hopefully be solved with OCB, then contrast is simply gonna get better w/ technological improvements, response time will be solved w/ FFD like technologies, in addition to lower response times, and finally prices will go down, as theoretically it costs less to make an lcd than crt, and newer technologies have higher yields, while having lesser cost. This will happen in the next few years, which is when those technologies are to debut (FFD actually is to come out this year in some monitors).
