So i have 3 CPU options: R7 3700x, R9 3900x, i9 9900k. With the R9 and i9 i can buy an rtx 2070 super (because of my budget) but with the R7 i can afford an rtx 2080 super. I'm usually gaming but in the near future i'll do some video editing. So this brings me to two questions. First, which of those CPUs are more future proof (at least 5 years)? Second, should i get the rtx 2080 super over the 2070 super (i saw like 10 fps difference which is not much)?

As far as future proofing goes the more cores the better it’s the way the industry is going games are utilizing more cores every year. Now if all you wanna do is play older games a 3600x or 3700x would be fine

I believe games will surely not use more than 16 threads for 5 years. BFV uses 8 threads now. A better GPU would be more future proof but he's also editing videos so...

Maybe not but video editing does and also if you are multitasking and want to maintain max performance you will need more threads. That is the only reason my old computer is still useable today. It had 2 old xeons

So everybody recommends ryzen, damn... intel fell pretty bad i guess xD. Thank you guys for the suggestions, i'll keep that in mind. Btw, as far as i know, ryzen have some voltage and temp spikes problems (at least when they came out) so i should be worried about that? Or the chipset and bios updates fix these problems?

Edit: If i'll go with R9 or R7, what mobo should i buy?

I was an Intel guy for a long time. Last AMD I had was the Phenom.

Built my Ryzen in November and absolutely love it! It is THE fastest and snappiest pc I've ever used. Gaming is smooth as butter at 1440p.

The AMD chips auto-boost themselves and do spike relative to the workload. That's a non-issue, no worries.

It is not "problems", the Ryzen just behaves differently to an Intel CPU. The way it's core boost works and puts the cores to sleep makes it look like a "spike" but it is running a windows process or whatever in the background. As a core is woken then yes the voltage also goes up but for split seconds. Another problem is many temp and voltage reading programs are poorly equipt to read the Ryzen with any degree of precision. Only Ryzen Master will give you an accurate reading of what a Ryzen CPU is actually doing.

Only the B450 Tomhawk Max supports Ryzen 3rd gen. All X470 don't supports Ryzen 3000, needs bios update.

Most X570 are good and otherwise your only choice is B450 tomhawk max.

Well the new x470 boards are also now Ryzen 3000 ready, the old stock from before they came out not but they are nearly all gone from the market. As always check the specs from where you buy and your preferred retailer.
