get a x 38 or x48

I jsut bought the gigabyte x48 ds4 its great - $225

or get a dfi x38 $185

if you buy any thing other than a x38/x48 board the CF will run at x8.

x38/x48 runs at pcie 2.0 x16 the best you can get

I mean for the x48 it says ddr2 1200 for that one thats 224$ and where can I get a 4850 for 160? lowest is like 190

yeah up to ddr2 1200, 800 will be fine. thats an open box so youll have to DL the drivers and stuff but will work great

Newegg has some that are $160-$170 after rebate. Oh, and yes, that Gigabyte is fine.

I was going to get nvidia cause u can get evga 8800 g92's for cheap but i DID NOT want the head ache of video problems. plus intel boards OC better

the dfi x38 boards look really good to, the only problems they had was with 3870x2's. for 185 for a brand new board might be better

Crossfire runs fine on P45 boards - don't get P35 though. Something limits the performance.
