After a lot of reading and *** (AMD vs Intel...pheW!!), i have decided to build this rig for "CASUAL GAMING". As far as AMD is Conerned, where i stay there's only fx 4100,fx 6100, and then directly fx 8xxx series available(and of course lower versions, athlon x2 etc..).there's no fx 4300,fx 6300 etc..
hence will the following gpu,cpu and ram combo give me a "Playble fps" around 40-50 at "LOW to MEDIUM" settings in games like Crysis 2,Crysis 3, Farcry 3 etc..? I dont care much about high resolution or high graphics.. just normal playble stuff.. (40-50 fps at MEDIUM settings).

CPU - Fx 4100 with equivalent Mobo..
GPU - HIS Radeon hd 6670 1GB DDR3
Ram - Corsair vengeance 4gb
Psu - 450W
and of crouse other stuff that is required.

I can also go for "i3 3220" by adding some extra money.i have no problem with the intel build.BUT what if in case i decide to upgrade my processor in future, i belive that upgrading intel system is more expensive than upgrading an AMD system? LoL..

would the Intel build(i3 3220 with equivalent Mobo ) give me a playable fps(40-50) with the same Gpu (HIS ati hd 6670 1 gb ddr3) at Medium setting in games like far cry 3, crysis 2,3 etc??

***Major Requirement is atleast 40-50 fps at MEDIUM settings for 2013-14 games.*** LoL!

Note: and at this point i can only afford the above mentioned GPU.

yes from an upgrade point of view, 4100 will be a good choice. The i3 will be better but intel does not slash it's end of lifed cpu's so if cant go for an i5 now, probably you'd find it difficult to locate one cheap after two years.

As for gaming on that gpu, I can tell you that if you could use the price difference between the i3 and 4100 (assuming the 4100 is cheaper than the i3 where you live), can you atleast upgrade to the DDR5 version?.

you can seen in my sig that I am using one too and at the low 1600x900 res of my monitor, I can play crysis around 35-40 fps on very high and 40-45 on medium. and mind you I have OC'd my gpu through amd overdrive. I am currently playing warhammer 40K space marines and it is running at 60+fps on...

FPS is primarily a gpu thing and you must absolutely get atleast a 6670 ddr5 to last you till 2014 playing games at 40-50 fps on medium settings and crysis 3 would require a 7770 minimum I believe.

The 6670 ddr3 is rather sluggish. I've got one myself. 1152x864 is about as high as it will go without being in sub 40 fps territory (provided AA is OFF) in most games.

Crysis 3, however, will just, JUST be able to keep a steady 30fps with the 6670 ddr3 @ 1280x720, which is smaller than 1152x864.
